工作關係,正在讀Francis Schaeffer的The God Who is There,以往從種種途徑都讀過和聽過少少他在福音派中提出一套廣闊的信仰視野,此刻終於有機會認識一下,需雖都係初讀,不過嘗試在這裡作一作整理和將他跟Reformational學者Herman Dooyeweerd的比較一下。
“If the man before you is logical to his non-Christian pre-suppositions you would have no point of communicating with him…but in reality no one can live logically…consequently…in practise you will find a place to talk” 125, The God Who is There, Francis Schaeffer.

小心,不要斷章取義,兩位大是當代博大精深的基督徒哲學家,不過就算未非常認識他們的學說,都可以作一些觀察。Schaeffer形容在一個完全合邏輯的世界裡,不同信仰假設(pre-supposition)的人之間沒法溝通,不過人是不能完全合邏輯的,所以人與人之間可以溝通。Dooyeweerd則相信因為人類都是在同一個創造體系(created order)下生存,所以無論人是有著相差非常遠的信仰經驗來理解生存,信仰之間都必定有可溝通及協議之處。
